The Cougar Seniors consists now of a mixed squad of over 30 players of all abilities from the photograph above Edward, Lee, Rod, Jeff, Ryan, Phil, Ashley, Jason, Jonny, Chippy and Nathan have all represented WALES at various levels.
The Club who play out of Kenfig Hill Sports Hall was established in 2006 by Lee Davies and Nathan Merchant who after 12 years of travelling 30 miles or so from their home village to play basketball in other areas of Wales decided to take advantage of the fabulous new sports hall at Cynffig Comprehensive School and launch the first Senior Kenfig hill Basketball team.
With the help of the coach Jason Merchant , Rodger Went and fellow players they are providing an excellent training program to enable the progression from mini to youth to senior level Basketball and in the future hope to be recognised as the premier basketball academy in the Bridgend and surrounding areas.
The Cougars will be entering 2 Senior teams into the South Wales Valley leagues for the forth coming season 10 -11, Division 1 and Division 2 West

Both Junior and Youth sides are run and organised by Jason Merchant & Rodger Went. Rodger who works for Positive futures and Bridgend Youth Service who also represented Wales at basketball in the 70's is a very experienced coach and referee. |
